Information on the 2017 Frosty 5K

The 31st Annual Frosty 5K - New Year's Day, 2016

The 31st Annual Frosty 5K New Year’s Day road race, 2K wellness walk and 1/2-mile Kids Fun Run is a festive event that attracts 900-1,000 runners and walkers of all ages from a wide geographical area. The Frosty 5K is a USATF Certified course with mile splits along the route. Race timing by RATRACE Timing provide very accurate results. The race and health walk start at 11 am at the Guilford Green.

This year we continue with our popular new tradition -- a 1/2-mile non-competitive kids run starting at 10:30 am on the Guilford Green. It was a great success. Kids up to 10 years old receive T-shirts, running bibs and award ribbons. There is no fee for participants. Just bring a bag of canned goods or a $10 contribution for the Guilford Food Bank. Day of race registration only for this event. Registration starts at 9:30 am in the Community Center.

Online registration ends at midnight on Dec 29. Families can take advantage of discounted entry fees.  If you miss online registration you may still register at soundRUNNER during packet pickup as well as on raceday at the Nathanael Greene Community Center in Guilford starting at 9:30 am.
Pre-registered runners & walkers can pick up packets (bib, running shirt, and other goodies) in advance at soundRUNNER in Branford on Dec. 30 from 10-6 & Dec. 31 from 10 am - 5 pm. Get your stuff early, by-pass race day check-in, and go straight to the start line.

FIRST RACE IN 2016 soundRUNNER Winter Warrior Challenge.
Proceeds from the Frosty 5K go to Warm the Children, a non-profit program to provide new, warm winter clothing for needy shoreline children, and the Rotary Club’s Memorial Educational Fund providing scholarships and grants for people seeking educational aid.?
