I invite you to have a good look around. We are a large and dynamic club, with more than 55 active men and women from a wide array of backgrounds. We are part of Rotary International, a global service organization whose purpose is to provide humanitarian services and to advance goodwill and peace in our communities and around the world.More >>
Rotarian volunteers: We will be packing at Roses for Autism October 19 and 26, 5:00 pm. All hands on deck for this big annual event!
Nicholas Hunsaker, an alumn of the Guilford High School Interact Club (and now at Providence College), put together a partnership between a Haitian orphanage and several U.S. green companies, including Connecticut honey producers. His new nonprofit organization - Honey For Haiti - raises money through the sale of products here in the U.S. The orphanage is using this seed capital to grow its own food, drill a well for clean water, and make use of renewable energy resources.
Warm the Children
Guilford and Madison Rotary Clubs help families in the shoreline communities of Madison and Guilford obtain winter clothing for their children through Warm the Children. Here's a news story on the program as it enters its 21st year. So far, more than 75 kids are signed up to get new winter clothing this fall. If your family would like to participate, contact the welfare office in your town. If you want to make a cash contribution to the program, contact the Shoreline Times.
Guilford volunteers, see Larry Appleton to get started.
