GHS Students of the Quarter

Each month the faculty and staff at Guilford High School nominate students to receive the Guilford Rotary Student of the Quarter Award.  A student from each of the ten departments at GHS is selected each quarter by the Student of the Quarter Committee based upon the nominations received and will receive a $50 US Savings Bond from the Guilford Rotary Club.  The Students of the Quarter Committee is chaired by Dean of Students Kimberly Vigliotti and includes five faculty/staff members and a Guilford Rotarian. 

Students are nominated and selected based upon the following seven Student Of the Month criteria: 

1. Positive contributions to the Guilford High School Community and/or in the community outside GHS
2. Attitude toward others and toward learning;
3. Good citizenship or improvement in citizenship;
4. Respectfulness to peers and teachers;
5. Improvement in or good grades;
6. Good attendance or improvement in attendance and
7. Classroom participation.

 This is a great opportunity for one of the many deserving GHS students to be recognized for their hard work and contributions that they exhibit each day and for the Guilford High School community to understand "Service Above Self," the motto of Rotary International and The Rotary Club of Guilford .
